All Staff at Coastal Smiles and McEwen Denture Clinic are fully vaccinated against Covid 19.  Protocols required by the College of Dental Hygienist and the College of Denturists are being followed including screening of all those entering the office. 

Hygienists are Prevention Dental Disease Consultants. A heathy mouth contributes to General Health. 

There are a limited number of Hygienists in BC and across Canada that have qualifications to practice outside the traditional dental office setting.

Monica Maletz, Dental Hygiene Practitioner is also providing dental hygiene care for the past 21 years in Hospitals and Care Homes specializing in Dementia Care and Disabled patients.  This has been part of her  42 years in Regular Dental Hygiene practice.

Education of Nursing and Care Staff regarding Oral Health has also been an important part of Monica's commitment to the health of those in Residential Care.
